Short history of the aid association
- Swedish Friends of Children in Sri Lanka - SFCSL

We have our origins in an organization that was formed in 1980 by parents of adopted children from Sri Lanka.
When the adoptions from Sri Lanka ended in 1995, a new aid association was formed from an existing committee, whose sole aim is to pursue aid.
The new association kept the name Swedish Friends of Children in Sri Lanka - SFCSL - and the adoption association adopted the name Swedish Friends of Children, and then also turned to other donor countries among others China and Taiwan.
